Tools to get you started
Just like in any other business you will need tools to get you on the right
track. The following are guidelines that you could follow:
1. Open a business bank account for your network marketing business.
You should not mix your transactions with your other accounts. Remember to keep
it separate. You need to put in your initial capital for the business. The
amount will depend on your financial standing.
You need to use this fund for purchasing products for your inventory, samples,
and other tools listed below. It will be advisable not to use this fund for your
personal consumption. Keep your business account separate from your personal
account.
2. Get your business cards printed. Your upline leaders will be able to provide
you with the sample or arrange for the printing of your business cards. You
should follow the same design and format as that of the company or your upline
organization.
3. This is a home based business and as such you should be working from home.
You will need to have an office in your house. A table and chair with a
telephone and filing cabinet will suffice. Of course it will be helpful if you
could have the use of a fax machine, answering machine, and a personal computer.
This will provide you with a working atmosphere.
4. Obtain an organizer to assist you with your time management. Organize your
time well with your organizer. You will need to take notes about the business
you are in, from time to time and this organizer should be with you at all
times.
5. Obtain your business presentation materials with the help of your upline
leaders. In order to do effective business presentations you need to have these
materials close at hand. This may include products for demonstration purposes.
6. Pre- approach and Follow up materials such as books, reading materials,
cassettes, video tapes, and CDs. Again your upline leaders will be able to
assist you. In most cases you only need to plug into the existing system.
7. Having a mobile phone will be an added advantage especially when almost
everyone is now having one. Network marketing is a communication business and as
such you will be at a disadvantage if you do not have the use of a mobile phone.
